The North Sea Weekender Surfing Event – North Tyneside’s number one coastal spot for water sports.
Organised by Tynemouth Surf Co, the North Sea Weekender Surfing Event will feature the Tynemouth Surf Open where people come from across the country to compete for a cash prize of £1500!
The Tynemouth Surf Open features various categories including men’s and women’s shortboard, longboard and sup surf. It also hosts a junior surf series, where the young aspiring surfers can compete against each other.

If getting on the surfboard isn’t your forte; hundreds of people gather on Longsands beach to spectate the fantastic event, which takes place over the North Sea Weekender.
Here there will be pop-up food and drink stalls, with spectacular live music across a range of venues in the area.
