The building that is now Longsands Lodge was designed and built by a Dutch sea captain in the late 19th/early 20th Century. You can see the Dutch style roof design which is quite different to any of the other buildings in the area. The story goes that he met a local girl, married her and together they built then lived in the property.
The Lodge sleeps up to ten people making it ideal for seaside holidays and coastal getaways, or groups looking for high quality home from home accomadation. We have had professional guests from all walks of life stay with us and for a variety of different reasons, including orchestra members, business parties and actors - including some television celebrities.
Longsands Lodge was fully refurbished in 2014 to create a genuine home from home experience.
At Longsands Lodge we work hard to make sure everything goes to plan and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The lodge has a minimum stay of 3 days but guests can stay for as long as their travel plans require.
